Position:ICT Officer (Task Grade 10)

Remuneration: R207 486.74 P. A Plus Normal Municipal Benefits

Minimum Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate/Grade 12
  • National Diploma in ICT or any other relevant Qualification
  • Computer Literacy
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Key Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be performing the following duties:

  • To perform Maintenance on LAN & WAN
  • Maintain, Test and Repair Physical Network Cables
  • Maintain & Update Wireless Network Access Points
  • Perform Basic Maintenance & Updates on Managed Switches
  • Troubleshoot Software and Hardware Issues
  • Develop and Implement a Software Update Schedule
  • Desktop & Server Security Updates
  • Ensure Desktop Software Licence Updates
  • Develop & Implement Pro-actively Support Schedules
  • Perform Data Backups on Desktops & Servers
  • Ensure that the Software Patches & Updates are Installed & active on Desktops & Servers
  • And other Desktop & LAN Related Issues
  • To ensure all Support Calls are recorded on a Helpdesk System
  • Compile monthly reports for All Support Calls & Other issues for ICT Manager
  • Must track and keep real-time daily Support Requests for the NDZ Staff to minimise downtime to ensure Staff productivity & access to Desktop Resources.
