A leading Mining & Fertiliser manufacturing company based near Babati, Manyara region in Tanzania has the following vacancies:

FACTORYMANAGER:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Chemical Engineering .
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a manufacturing Industry preferably as a head in a Fertiliser Factory or related industry.
Duties: To head the Factory operations and ensure that the plants are properly maintained and production is optimized. Ensure proper efficiencies in use of electricity, furnace oil, raw materials and equipment. Also rationalize labour utilization and efficiencies and discipline. Planning of raw materials, spares and consumables on a timely basis.

MINE ENGINEER:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Mining Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a reputable open cast mining company and having hands on experience in mine design, developing and cost-effective planning of mine operations and conversant with all the mining regulations. Preferable experience in phosphates or related materials.
Duties: To head the mine operations and ensure cost optimization of the operations. Ensure heavy equipment is properly used and maintained regularly.

HEAD ENGINEERING SERVICES
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a fertiliser or a related mineral processing manufacturing plant.
Duties: To head the engineering department and ensure that there are no down times in production due to mechanical or electrical problems. Heavy equipment is available for production. Ensure efficiencies of utilities and consumption of fuels, electricity, spares etc. Ensure regular and periodic maintenance schedules are made and adhered to. Procure all necessary
items timely. Local staff training is undertaken by various departments.

MECHANICAL& MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualifcation in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a manufacturing industry. Should be conversant with repairs and maintenance of machineries, compressors, generators, conveyors and other equipment
Duties: Ensure that all the machines are running efficiently and optimally. Regular and periodic maintenance schedules are drawn up and adhered to. There should be no down time due to mechanical failures during production hours. You will ensure that local staff are properly trained to carry out various functions.

HEAD BENEFICIATION PLANT:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Mineral Process Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a mineral processing plant preferably of lime, cement etc
Duties: To ensure that optimum and efficient production is achieved in the plant. Manpower is trained and discipline maintained. Ensure regular maintenance to avoid breakdowns and loss of production. Also ensure that electricity and Furnace oil consumption is optimized. Quality of the beneficiated product is maintained and process losses minimized.

HEAD NPK PLANT:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in a Compound Fertiliser NPK Blending Plant.
Duties: To ensure that optimum and efficient production is achieved. Quality parameters of the products manufactured are as per standard. Ensure periodic maintenance to avoid down times during production hours and efficiency in terms of use of electricity, water, furnace oil etc. Proper reconciliation of raw materials is maintained. Local staff are trained.

EARTH MOVING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER:
Minimum Qualification: Basic qualification in Automobile Engineering.
Experience: 10 – 15 years in maintaining heavy equipment such as bull dozers, excavators, wheel loaders and trucks consisting of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical maintenance.
Duties: To head the Automobile Workshop and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, keep records of maintenance and ensure fuel efficiency. Should be able to work hands on. You will ensure that local staff are properly trained to carry out various functions.
