JOB INTRODUCTION:

Director: Cash in Transit (CIT)

G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for an Director: Cash in Transit, based at our Head Office in Centurion.

Reporting to the Operations Director, this role manages the provision of quality contractual and ad-hoc cash solution services to customers within the business unit, in compliance with legislation, company policies, processes, and procedures, to ensure the achievement of budgeted financial targets and satisfied customers.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in delivering on customer expectations, demonstrates a high degree of commercial acumen and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.
  • Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
  • Distribute safety information as and when required

  • Relevant tertiary qualification recommended
  • Minimum 6-10 years’ experience in general management
  • Relevant working experience within a similar environment recommended

  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of an international organisation
  • Sound and demonstrated financial acumen
  • Good strategic thinking, effective communication as well as strong leadership skills and capabilities essential
  • All business transactions, communication, and problem resolutions activities are conducted with the highest integrity
  • Travelling required – local
