HEAD GARDENER

(X1 PERMANENT)

JOB PURPOSE:

To support Senior Horticulturist in ensuring the effective development and maintenance of parks, open spaces within Botanical Gardens. Assist with the implementations and monitoring of the service delivery in line with maintenance schedules and special projects plans. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ standards in day to day operations by supporting the Senior Horticulturist with administrative and report writing functions. Ensure the effective running of the depot and the achievement of regional development and maintenance targets.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12

• Basic Knowledge of Landscaping/ Horticulture

• 5 years’ experience in supervisory level within the Horticultural field

• Valid SA driver’s license.
