Requirements :
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification. Exposure in the Public Sector Hospital Environment will be an added advantage. Sound verbal and written communication skills. Must be Computer Literate. Ability to act with tact and discretion. Must be self-motivated. Good customer skills and competencies. Knowledge and application of the Batho Pele Principles and all prescripts that govern Patient Affairs.
Duties :
- Admissions and registration of patients on PAAB and manual systems. Ensure proper coloration of data on TPH 14, TPH 21, TPH 57 manuals. Capturing data on TPH 31A. Completion of GPR01 during downtime and updating / capturing data electronically when the system is back online. Billing and collection of money from patients and ensuring that Admissions issues a receipt and handover to a Patient. Completion of GPF3, GPF4, GPF5 forms. Classification of patients. Constant updating of patient’s information in the wards. Admission and discharge patients from the wards. Processing movements of patients from ward to ward or to other institutions. Pagination or culling (notes sequencing) of patient’s files after discharge. Other clerical services in the wards. Ordering of stationery. Stock control and stock taking. Compile monthly stats (ALOS of more than 14 days). Compiling diseases profile data. The incumbent will rotate between patient’s admin wards. Must be prepared to work shifts, which includes weekends and public holidays.
