Local Office Manager (Level 12) X 2
Salary: R908 502– R1 070 169 pa inclusive of benefits.

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a relevant 3 year qualification (NQF Level 6, 360
credits) as recognized by SAQA coupled with 1-2 years management experience in the relevant field;
Knowledge of SASSA’s Constitutional mandate, relevant policies and legislation in Public
Management; Knowledge of Social Security services and poverty alleviation matters; Computer literacy
and a valid driver’s license are essential.
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the management of the divisions at the Local Office;
Provide Support Services – Human Capital Chain Management, Financial Accounting and Supply
Chain Management services, including Fleet Management, Facilities Management, ICT enquiries and
Records Management; Management of the Grant Administration (Operations Management, Customer
Care Management, Pay Point Management, Disability Management and Beneficiary Maintenance);

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a relevant 3 year qualification (NQF Level 6, 360
credits) as recognized by SAQA coupled with 1-2 years management experience; Extensive
knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of SCM prescripts; Treasury Regulations on
Public entities and Procurement Regulations; Knowledge of ORACLE or AccPacc or accrual
Accounting ,Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license are essential.
Duties: The incumbent will manage the Unit to ensure the effective implementation of demand plans
for cost – effective and procurement of goods and services. Manage the asset function within the
Region. Provide support to the Regional Bid Committees. Manage the resources of the Unit. Ensure
compliance with policies and procedures with applicable GRAP standards / GAAP and IFRS, PFMA,

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should hold a B Degree and / or a 3 year tertiary qualification
(NQF Level 6, 360 credits) in the relevant field, coupled with 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in the
social security environment. Knowledge of SASSA constitutional mandate, relevant policies and
legislation is required, as is proficiency in social security management and poverty alleviation matters,

Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the grants administration
programme in the Local Office, and will manage operations pertaining to Grants Administration in the
Local Office, Provide client administration and pay point management services, Implement client
improvement services and manage service level agreements with service providers. Additionally,
he/she will implement service delivery and client relations improvement services, Acquire data, analyse

licence are essential.
Duties: The incumbent will be responsible to: Assist with implementation of demand plan for financial
year. Maintain the supplier database. Provide secretariat services for supply chain related committees.
Assist with the management of assets in the District in terms of supply chain management policies and

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have a Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate
qualification (NQF Level 6, 360 credits) as recognised by SAQA in the relevant field coupled with 3
years’ experience in Grants Administration, Computer literacy is essential and a valid driver’s licence
will be an added advantage.
Duties: The incumbent will conduct verification of grant applications (approval); oversee the quality of
the administration of social grants by the Grants Administrators and advise Grants Administrators on
policies and process with grants value chain and supervise staff at the Local Office Level; Check the
completeness of documents and supporting documents; Verify applications and means test; Approve
or reject applications; Process other grants value chain functions; oversee the quality of the
administration of the social grants and advice on policies and processes with the grants value chain;
Manage Staff performance and resources; Ensure adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance and
Management Act (PFMA, Chapter 6, Part 3)
Technical Competencies: the candidate should demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding or
relevant legislation, policy, procedure, standards and norms in relation to the Social Assistance Grant
application process (entire grants value chain).
