Requirements:
- B Com, BSc or any related quantitative degree
- 2 – 4 years relevant experience
- FAIS RE 05 certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
- Postgraduate degrees and/or CFA, FRM will be advantageous
Duties: - To identify, analyse, measure, evaluate, monitor and regular reporting of investment risk for
listed asset classes (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual reporting requirements) - Periodic valuation of financial instruments, derivatives, and other structured investment
products - Adherence to market risk policies and guidelines to ensure that risk management controls
remains robust within market risk department - Compilation of risk reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. management and
clients) - Periodic portfolio analysis (e.g. stress-testing)
- Regular review of pricing models used
- Maintain market and instrument pricing
Competencies and skills: - Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced Excel, MS Access and VBA skills

Purpose of the role:
To assist the business in managing compliance risk and providing assurance to Management, Board, and
Regulators that the PIC is aware of and takes steps to comply with legislation, regulations, policies,
processes and best practices relevant to the PIC.
Requirements:
- An Honours Degree in Law, Commerce or equivalent related qualification
- FSCA approval as FAIS Compliance Officer is an added advantage
- At least 4 – 6 years relevant compliance experience in the Financial Sector preferably in
the investment management industry and/ or unlisted investments - Registered Persons Exams (RPE) certificates for JSE Compliance Officers is an added
advantage - RE1, RE 3 and RE 5 certificates or obtain within 6 months of appointment to the role
Duties:
- Identify, review and maintain the PIC regulatory universe, including risk rating of these
legislations in terms of their impact on PIC operations - Drafting and maintenance of compliance risk management plans (CRMPs) in respect of
legislations applicable to PIC and assist business in ensuring that controls in place address
all sections/ provisions of legislative requirements - To provide inputs into the interpretation of applicable legislative requirements and PIC
policies - Assist business with the development and review of policies, procedures, frameworks and
guidelines - Provide compliance opinions, guidance and advisory to business on regulatory requirements
- To provide/ facilitate compliance training on legislative and policies requirements for business
- To assist with the development, maintenance and implementation of the compliance policies
and procedures - Advise business on how to appropriately and effectively manage compliance and reputational
risk in the organization - To perform the analysis of possible regulatory compliance threats/risks
- To perform ad-hoc functions, as and when assigned by Management.

Duties:
- Verify the data to ensure that the information is accurate and consistent
- Responsible for correcting or removing incorrect, incomplete, or duplicate data

Duties:
- To provide inputs into the development of the compliance strategy for the Corporation and to
assist with its implementation - Development of comprehensive compliance models (rules) in the Charles River Investment
Management System (CRIMS) compliance module - Review and maintenance of new and existing mandates requirements in Charles River and
other relevant systems as and when there are changes - Ensuring that daily compliance monitoring is performed to ensure that mandate breaches are
timeously detected and corrected by Management - Preparation of mandate compliance reports for submission to committees and clients.
- Manage provision of daily positions to portfolio managers which assist in investment
decision-making. - Provide advisory, guidance and support to business with regard to interpretation of clients
mandates - Provide inputs into the development, maintenance and implementation of the compliance
policies and procedures - To assist with the education of internal stakeholders on compliance requirements.
