Data Analyst

WE ARE BASH 

As a Data Analyst you’ll take ownership of the development, automation and maintenance of all reporting, dashboards and self-service data systems. You’ll be part of our mission to establish world class data & insight capabilities within Bash, empowering decision makers to solve customer and business problems through reliable, accessible & engaging data and data platform.

We’re looking for curious and resourceful analysts who have a keen interest in both business and technology. 

WHO YOU ARE:

• You want to help teams make informed decisions and have the ability to put yourself in your stakeholders’ shoes, allowing you to perform deep insights work and develop solutions that enable the business to be data led, and have a deeper understanding of their business unit. 
• You have deep experience in working with SQL and/or BI tools.
• You have vast experience in visualising data, telling a story and generating insight.
• You’ll work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• You will also spearhead the development of training & onboarding materials for reporting as well as conducting training sessions with our users.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

This job is for you if you have:

• Experience in working in BI & data environments
• Excellent SQL knowledge and experience
• Strong ability to use data and visualisation skills to generate insights across a variety of domains
• Critical thinker. Ability to identify patterns & trends from large datasets, cutting down complex problems to small manageable pieces and derive actionable insights
• Great business acumen
• Natural curiosity
• Foundational knowledge of data modelling techniques and best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of data engineering tools and software engineering practices
• Fast learner with a curiosity of understanding new technology, systems, processes and business objectives
• Teaching/training others through knowledge sharing sessions and blog posts

One or more of the following will help you stand out:

• Experience with QlikSense, QlikView, Tableau, Sisense, Looker or SuperSet 
• Experience with at least one major Cloud Data Warehouse Solution (eg. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Experience with DBT or other transformation tools
• Experience in Retail / eCommerce / Logistics / Fulfilment industry
• Proven track record working in high performance environments

Senior Product Designer

We are seeking an experienced  Senior Product Designer to join our team. As a Senior Product Designer at Bash, you will be responsible for crafting our App and Web products into world-class, pixel-perfect artefacts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• User and product research and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
• Use data to design customer-centric products and services for an improved user experience.
• Lead and own the design process.
• Design clear user flows to communicate design concepts.
• Create high-fidelity design mockups and prototypes to validate your designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and content teams, to define and implement product features and functionality.
• Develop design specs and documentation to ensure consistency across products.
• Ensure consistency between products.
• Maintain and update our Design System.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure designs are properly implemented.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and design tools and technologies.
• Champion accessibility and inclusivity in design.
• Maintain a positive team culture and help create a supportive and collaborative work environment.

WHO YOU ARE:

This job is for you is you have:

• 5+ years of experience in designing web and app products, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills and attention to detail.
• You have experience in working in a fast-paced start-up environment, with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, and other design related tools.
• Experience designing and maintaining a design system in Figma.
• Knowledge of design thinking methodologies and experience applying them in practice.
• Ability to translate complex design problems into simple, intuitive solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience designing for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Strong skills in prototyping and interaction design
• Most importantly, being passionate about building omnichannel products

Senior Software Engineer (GoLang)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Collaboration with the team as part of an Agile development process.
• Manage your JIRA tasks, removing ambiguity from your tickets to streamline development 
• Assist your team on operational tasks related to the platform.
• Build relationships with developers, product managers and other colleagues
• Influence the team to build resilient, maintainable solutions.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for for critical system alerts
• Document processes and SOPs (we use Confluence)

WHO YOU ARE:

This job is for you if you have:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• BSc Computer Science or equivalent is encouraged (strong work experience can fill this gap)
• 5+ years experience writing backend code and/or doing some frontend work on web and/or mobile applications – We primarily use C# (and Python) for our backend services, and React (and Flutter) for our frontend applications.
• 5+ years experience designing backend for frontend services and applications.
• In-depth knowledge of databases, data structures, algorithms and an interest in distributed systems. Experience in a scripting language.
• Great problem-solving skills.
• A passion for observability and monitoring of the services you build.
• Experience owning the deployment process of your services and applications in Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
• You have experience with other languages, specifically Python, JS/Typescript or Golang.
• Ability to work effectively across teams to deliver results, with good verbal and written communication skills
