All-inclusive annual remuneration package: R 469 094 (Not negotiable) – Estimated monthly net salary R 22 655
MIINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3-year Diploma in the Performing Arts or related field. Marketing / Public Relations or related qualifications will
be considered if the applicant has experience working at a theatre. - 3 years’ experience in theatre audience development / commercial theatre or similar environment.
SUMMARY OF JOB SPECIFICATIONS - Drive audience attendance to the programmed productions staged at PACOFS.
- Develop and implement tailored audience development plans for short and long-term benefit and effectiveness
of the organisation. - Develop and implement dynamic audience retention strategies for long-term benefit and effectiveness of the
organisation. - Plan and execute brand activations and showcases of productions scheduled to perform at the theatre.
- Manage audience development project logistics and related costs responsibly.
- Prepare reports and debriefing documents outlining audience development project performance / effectiveness
and identified areas of improvement. - Develop and implement tailored communication plans to promote audience attendance at Artistic productions.
- Closely monitor audience demands, sentiments and perceptions regarding the brand’s endeavors and ensure
that they are represented in reports, to be addressed timeously and effectively. - Develop proposals for new opportunities to enhance audience development efforts.
- Invite stakeholders and audiences for tours of the PACOFS premises, exposing them to “the world of performing
arts” with the aim of attracting audiences to staged productions. - Organise demonstrations of venue capabilities to attract audiences and encourage venue bookings for various
types of functions (brand activations, launches, weddings, year-end functions, graduations etc.). - Proactively seek partnership opportunities with creative arts community groups and organisation to encourage
widespread provincial participation in the local performing arts industry.
