MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To do breakdown, planned maintenance and repairs to all water related infrastructure/systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out inspections of plumbing installations.
- Carry out changes and installations to various systems.
- Ensure adherence to SANS plumbing standards.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standard safe practices.
- Respond promptly to all faults logged at helpdesk to minimize disruptions and complaints from customers.
- Carry out inspections of plumbing equipment and reticulation throughout the SABC precinct.
- Adhere to safety SOPs and regulations when working.
- Ensure that duties are conducted in an effective and efficient manner.
- Absorb and manage pressure experience in the field
- Effective communication skills
- Assist management in formulating equipment and materials list as required.
- Be prepared to work overtime
- Conduct 24/7 Standby operations
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- N3 NQF level 4 or relevant qualification
- Qualified artisan in a recognised trade (Plumbing)
- 5 Years’ experience in a maintenance and building environment.
- Experience on plumbing systems for high rise buildings
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of fire protection reticulation equipment.
- Knowledge of water reticulation systems
- Â Knowledge of building sewer systems.
