Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus certificate in Administration / NQF level 5;
  • 6 – 12 months experience in administrative level;
  • Basic knowledge of Administration, record keeping, minutes taking / writing;
  • Experience in identifying problematic areas and giving of government processes;
  • Knowledge of archiving and Information management;
  • Understanding of political environment and public sector /local government processes;
  • Basic research knowledge;

Primary Function:
Provide administrative to the Research unit. Ensure that template and documents are stored and maintained. Manage research staff meetings. Assist with the management
of research Sub-Directorate activities including oversight visits, strategic planning sessions, study tours, department staff meetings, conference attendance, Workshops
and other events. Perform assigned duties and tasks as and when requested by the Deputy Director.

  • Contribute to the effective and efficient functioning of the research sub-directorate.
  • Provide financial management support to the unit.
  • To ensure the functioning of events hoisted in by research sub-directorate..
  • Assist researchers to perform their function efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in ensuring that the sub-directorate is compliant with the Terms and condition of
    service staff time management.
  • To effectively and efficiently support the office of the Research sub-directorate.
