Purpose of the position:
As a Senior Accountant in Grain Trading at NWK, you will play a vital role in our financial operations.

Roles and responsibilities:
 Mastery of all accounting functions: Your expertise will encompass the full spectrum of accounting functions, from meticulous transaction
recording to the management of cash flow forecasts and budgets. You’ll be the financial maestro who ensures every financial note is played in
harmony.
 Grain accounts: Setting up and managing grain accounts will be second nature to you. You’ll be instrumental in tracking and optimising grainrelated financial transactions.
 Timely financial reporting: Timeliness is key in financial reporting. You’ll be responsible for delivering precise and punctual financial reports
that guide our strategic decisions.
 Statutory compliance: Completion of statutory returns and reconciliations will be in your capable hands, ensuring that we remain in
compliance with all relevant regulations.
 Tech-savvy implementation: You will not only maintain our existing accounting systems but also be at the forefront of implementing new,
cutting-edge systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
 Stock valuation: Reconciliation of stock, stock valuations, and fair value adjustments will be your forte.
 SAFEX expertise: SAFEX reconciliations and recording will be part of your daily routine. Your precision will ensure that our SAFEX transactions
are flawlessly executed.
 Financial insight: Your knack for financial analysis and reporting will provide valuable insights that steer our organisation toward success.

Minimum requirements:
 A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with Accounting as your main subject.
 A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Accountant, demonstrating your ability to navigate the financial landscape with finesse.
 Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in handling grain contracts and SAFEX transactions.
 Proficiency in Microsoft software is a requirement to thrive in this digital age.
 Bilingual proficiency in both Afrikaans and English, enabling effective communication with our diverse team and partners.
