Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 plus Diploma in Business Management / Administration or any related qualification at
Management at NQF Level 6; - A higher certificate in Project management at NWQF level 5;
- 1 – 3-year work experience in Project Management or Business Administration;
- Knowledge and understanding of programs / project management principles;
- Knowledge on the local government environment, the city’s strategic planning cycle and how the
change and project management processes fit into the City’s planning processes for effective
delivery of IDP programmes; - Knowledge pf legislative policy, Regulatory framework and prescribed methodologies that govern
the implementation of the IDP programmes. - Computer Literacy – MS Office Applications
Primary Function:
To provide efficient and effective project administration and logistical support services across
the project life cycle to the Project Managers for delivery of Change and Programme initiatives.
Key Performance Areas:
- Render project planning administrative support in contribution to the sub -directorate business
planning process; - Coordinate the implantation of Programme and Projects for the achievement of the Directorate
strategic objectives; - Execute activities associated with management and control of the assets and resources within the
sub directorate. - Execute specific activities to ensure affective governance and risk management;
- Execute specific activities to ensure sound Stakeholder Relations and Communication;
- Monitor the implementation of Directorate programmes / projects against the approved scorecards
and project implementation plan; - Perform general administrative process in line with City’s approved policies and standard operating
procedures.
