Job Purpose | To co-ordinate and control asset management in the Department so as to ensure that correct Municipal policies and procedures are adhered to in respect of asset management and to ensure the safekeeping of the Units assets. |
Key Responsibility Areas | Plans and co-ordinates the tasks and activities associated with the Asset Control and Risk Management functions in the Unit. Facilitates the purchasing of furniture/ equipment and plant for the Unit. Controls and monitors the Asset Registers for the entire Unit, including for Councillors External Offices. Co-ordinates all goods for Disposal in the Department. Conducts periodic physical verification of assets with other staff within the Unit. Creates and processes service orders through JDE, verifying service order details and dealing with suppliers of goods and services. Processing invoices for various goods and services for the Unit. 40hr 5-day week: flexi hours to be agreed with the Financial Accountant. |

Essential Requirements | Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Asset Management or Financial Management or related field. Valid motor vehicle driving license. 2 Years relevant experience. Computer Literacy. |
Preferred Requirements | Degree (NQF Level 7) in Asset Management or Financial Management or related field. 3 Years relevant experience. |
