REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be in possession of NQF level 1 or 2 (Adult Basic Education and Training (Abet) level 2 / 3 certificate). No experience required. Job related skills: Basic numeracy skills.

DUTIES

Perform routine in respect of grounds through inter alia the following: Irrigation and watering of plants / lawns, weeding, pruning and trimming of plants. Cutting, seeding, transplanting, mowing laws, dispose of organic waste, dig up compost, digging, spraying and maintain flower beds, edges etc. Perform
general routine activities in respect of infrastructure which would include inter alia the following: Maintain road markings, painted surfaces, canals, buildings etc. Cleaning signs, light fittings etc. Sweeping, mix and lay cement for walkaways, driveways etc. Unblocking drains. Empty and clean waste
collection bins. Cleaning and maintenance of roads, pavements and greenhouse, etc. Perform general activities which would include inter alia the following: Care for equipment e.g. Cleaning, oiling, sharpening etc. Loading / off loading, moving furniture, make minor repairs to furniture and wash
government vehicle.
