Mission

Purpose

Information Technology & Information System Manager will have overall accountability of all IT/IS services including infrastructure, business/Industrial solutions, digital and cyber security as necessary for the efficient operation and maintenance of Bombela Operating Company daily activities and services.

 Preferred candidate will provide technical guidance to the BOC IT & IS teams to ensure that transverse technologies are aligned with industry, group and Business Unit standards.

Principal Accountabilities 

• Develop, implement and manage the IT/IS strategy and budget, and ensure the strategy (aligned with group) supports the company’s business objectives
• Develop and implement IT/IS related plans and procedures
• Provide technical direction to IT/IS delivery teams
• Ensure robust contingency, risk management, and business continuity plans are in place for BOC IT/IS services and coordination with general business continuity plans
• Maintain and enforce standards and protocols for the use of information and communication Technologies
• Manage the IT/IS team and develop its skillset in line with the professional development requirements for IT/IS, including infrastructure, cyber security, business analysis and Project Management
• Lead on the implementation of the IT/IS strategy, specifically the IT/IS infrastructure and corporate IT program portfolio, reporting to senior management on issues and Risks
• Take overall responsibility for the portfolio of programs delivering IT/IS investment for BOC
•  Manage IT strategic sourcing, contracts and procurement
• Work with the client, technology partners and the wider RATP Group to ensure integration and leverage of IT/IS investment
• Lead on the coordination of IT related activity across all departments, actively prioritising competing programmes and projects and allocating available resources effectively to drive greatest return on investment
• Inspire creativity and flexibility in the management and application of IT/IS systems
• Take responsibility for the development and implementation of BOC information security in in accordance with the information management strategy, ensuring all statutory requirements are meet
• Whenever necessary, provide hands-on support of all IT/IS systems and across all levels including end-user support.
• Take responsibility for development, delivery and/or monitoring (as appropriate) for the IT service delivery by IT service providers, including BOC in-house IT services, and the Contracts with key suppliers
• Monitor and manage the performance of IT related systems and services, in respect of their contribution to business performance and the meeting of client KPIs.
• Provide regular assessments of delivery against strategic objectives and budget.
• Establish strong working relationships with IT/IS service providers, working jointly to improve cost-effectiveness, to ensure value for money, delivery performance, customer satisfaction and innovation.
• Demonstrate the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, defining strategy, validating business needs, considering the opportunities afforded by technology developments coupled with the implications of change on BOC services and all stakeholders
• Positive Build relationships with the key stakeholders in the business, ensuring that the IT/IS strategy and service developed meet the business needs.
• Develop a continuous service improvement culture within IT to ensure that it supports the business needs.
• Other duties and responsibilities might be assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

Information System:

• Analysis of current systems, services and implement appropriate solutions to achieve well-engineered results.
• Participate in the design, testing, implementation, modifications, and documentations of systems, applications, and infrastructure
• Manage the development, implementation and Integration of software tools and other digitalization solutions
• Effectively and efficiently meet business needs and objectives.

IT Management:

• Establish, source, and maintain IT system to meet the needs of the various users and Divisions.
• Maintain the computer system (hardware and software) and provide recommendations for upgrades and enhancements.
• Ensure appropriate security and backup policies are in place for the safeguarding of the company database
• Provide assistance and service across the company with respect to hardware and software requirements to ensure all users are always operational
• Oversee the drive for improved system performance.
• Manage company cellular and internet devices.

 Team Management:

• Develop and manage IT and IS team.
• Performance monitoring and management

Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or in System Information.

Years of Experience

• (five) years working experience in IT & IS Management. 
•  Rails Industry & IT Technical knowledge will be of advantage.
