Admin Assistant (Grade 7)
Permanent part-time position for 5 hours per day
Psychology Department

The Psychology Department invite suitably qualified candidates to join their vibrant team. 

Main Objectives
To provide a professional front-line service to students, staff, the public and visitors to the Psychology Department. To assist visitors and students with directions and placement, and to provide an administrative/technical support service to the Psychology Department and the Psychology Clinic.

The requirements
Matric plus approximately 2 years relevant experience where such experience includes: –

  • Previous front-line and administrative experience within a computerized environment.
  • Previous experience working with word processing and spreadsheet packages is essential; including the ability to create and maintain databases and use email and the internet.
  • Previous experience in a computerised environment with basic troubleshooting experience in computers and printers.
  • Previous experience on website administration will be an advantage.

  • The selection process that will be followed for this post will include an assessment and an interview.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 7):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum:                              R134 849
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately):             R204 116

The University reserves the right not to proceed with the filling of the post.
