Requirements :
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid Driver’s license. Code 10 and 14 plus PDP will be an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES:
- Computer literacy.
- Communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Duties :
- Filling all the records of animals that are attended to at the clinic and during primary animal health care services.
- Stock take, order, and collect drugs from the stores.
- Wash and sterilise instruments and equipment, prepare veterinary consulting rooms and operating theatres.
- Sterilise laboratory and surgical equipment utilized in theatres.
- Attend to clients and animals, record animals at mobile clinical days.
- Follow up on cases and vaccinations in the absence of the veterinarian.
- Prepare animals for surgery and provide post-operation monitoring.
- Organise and/or participate in veterinary-related campaigns (sterilization, etc.)
- Restrain animals for examinations and procedures that need to be done.
- Maintaining good interpersonal relations with co-workers and supervisor.
- Driving the veterinary mobile unit.
