The Organisation requires the services of a Supply Chain Management Practitioner to manage the sourcing of goods and services in accordance with the relevant applicable legislations and SANParks procurement policies for the Cape Region. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Finance Manager, Cape, based at Table Mountain National Park. The candidate will be expected to travel.
The remuneration package includes an all-inclusive cost to company salary, pitched at Grade C4 Paterson Scale. The successful candidate has to provide their own accommodation as official accommodation is unavailable in the Park.

Requirements:
- Must be in possession of a Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Degree/Diploma in Financial Management or Accounting with relevant experience in SCM
- Post Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics will be Advantageous.
- Should have three years of experience as a Specialist in SCM with experience in the public sector.
- Minimum of two (2) years working with audits (internal and or external)
- Driver’s license
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
- Knowledge of Preferential Procurement Policy Framework.
- Knowledge of Logistics.
- Knowledge of SANParks Business will be an added advantage.
- Legal knowledge in relation to Supply Chain Management.
- Working knowledge of Applicable legislation, NT guidelines and procurement processes applicable to SOE and or government departments.
- Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.
- Must be Computer literate.
- Should have Managerial, Analytical, Negotiation, Facilitation, and Organizing Skills.
- Applicant must be flexible and have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work with minimum supervision and or without supervision
Responsibilities:
- To maintain regional contracts registers used as mechanisms to monitor annual payments to service providers
- To coordinate the identification of regional procurement needs as informed by the Annual Procurement Plan, Demand Management Plan and Budget.
- To provide expert advice to end-users regarding the development of short- and long-term service level agreements for repeat purchases in conjunction with the Supply Chain Corporate Office.
- To build, maintain and manage stakeholder relations.
- To monitor and report on supply chain transactions per the Corporate Supply Chain Office directive.
- To manage risks associated with the procurement of services and goods.
- To manage an auditable administrative system of the region’s assets.
- To continuously manage and appraise submissions of the supplier database.
- To coordinate and maintain the pre-vendor qualification directory.
- To continuously evaluate the quality of goods and services rendered by the suppliers and assess their performance.
- To perform any other responsibilities as assigned to by the supervisor
Salary: RÂ 321Â 947 – RÂ 525Â 855
