Job Description
Our client, a leading provider of innovative energy solutions is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to do the sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of various products within the purchasing division.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Relevant qualification – purchasing management or supply chain management is required
- 3-5yrs experience in procurement within the electrical industry is essential
- MUST HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS OR MATERIALS
- Excel literate
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure electrical components, materials, and equipment required for various projects
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost and reliablity
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable agreements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality assurance
- Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to understand project requirements and specifications
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement budgets effectively
